No Town Without Crime

Crime has always been an issue and unless people start taking preventative measures it will always be an issue. Don’t wait until you need home or office security because by that point it’s too late. Taking steps to prevent and deter crime are the only ways to truly make a difference to your local crime statistics.

According to the Office for National Statistics, “there were an estimated 6.9 million incidents of crime against households and resident adults (aged 16 and over) in England and Wales”. This figure sounds extremely high, but in fact it is the lowest on record since the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) began in 1981. If you don’t want to be a part this survey, think ahead secure your home or business before crime finds you.

However, even with all of these crime statistics and media interest in crime, people are still choosing not to properly secure their homes, thinking that crime only happens regularly in major cities like Manchester and Sheffield. In April 2015, over 8,000 crimes occurred in the Derbyshire Constabulary area, almost 500 of those crimes were burglaries and another 500 were shoplifting crimes.
Many of these crimes could have been prevented with better home and business security, whether it’s CCTV to help get video surveillance evidence of the crime and prevent future crimes by the same individual(s), or intruder alarm systems that sound an alarm when an attempted break in occurs.

Help prevent crime in your area with a Eurolink Security system. Our CCTV surveillance, intruder alarms and access control can help to secure your property before it’s too late.
